SIGTRAN SGX Gateway
The openIN SIGTRAN SGX gateway is a flexible platform that allows for integration between traditional ss7 networks and the full range of SIGTRAN protocols, as well as enabling SIP and other IP based platforms and devices access to the SIGTRAN core. The SGX supports all SIGTRAN variants including M3UA, SUA, BICC, M2UA and has been deployed with networks from many major vendors, including Cisco, Nortel and Nokia. It also integrates fully with the Release 5 3GPP standards for IMS.
SGX
The SGX is a sofwtare platform that can be deployed on standard off the shelf hardware and operating systems. In use by major network operators in Europe, Asia and Australasia, it allows users to
- Deploy a signalling gateway between traditional TDM ss7 and new SIGTRAN networks, giving a unified interface for a wide range of vendor variants of switching platforn
- Integrate SIP or other IP based elements to the core SIGTRAN network. This has been used particularly in integrating non-SIGTRAN enabled IVR's and voicemail systems to new networks
- Create a unified weeb-enabled configuration and management interface that integrates all the ss7 and SIGTRAN elements into a single data model, reducing support and management overhead and complexity
BICC
The SIGTRAN SGX is the first available SIGTRAN gateway with full support for ITU BICC and Q.1912 integration with SIP devices. Our engineers are among the most experienced in the world in the design and implementation of BICC and SIGTRAN networks.
